No Mist Coming Out
This is the most common issue and is almost always caused by a clogged mesh or incorrect assembly. Step-by-step fix:- Check the mesh — hold the nebulizer up to a light and look through the mesh. If it appears cloudy or has visible residue, it needs cleaning.
- Clean the mesh — rinse the mesh under warm running water for 30–60 seconds. Gently agitate with a soft brush if residue is stubborn. Do not use sharp objects.
- Soak if needed — soak the mesh component in white vinegar or citric acid solution for 15–20 minutes to dissolve mineral deposits from tap water or medication residue.
- Check assembly — ensure the medication cup and mesh component are properly seated and locked. A loose connection prevents the mesh from vibrating.
- Check battery/charge — a low battery can reduce vibration power below the threshold needed for mist generation. Charge fully before use.
Weak or Reduced Mist Output
- Medication cup not filled adequately — the cup needs to have enough liquid to cover the mesh. Check fill level.
- Thick medication — some formulations are more viscous. Try diluting with normal saline as directed by your physician.
- Partially clogged mesh — follow the cleaning steps above.
- Low battery — charge fully. A weak charge can reduce mesh vibration frequency.
Device Won’t Turn On
- Battery fully discharged — connect to USB-C charger and charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to use.
- Charging cable issue — try a different USB-C cable or port.
- Button not pressed correctly — press and hold the power button for 2 seconds (not a brief tap).
Device Turns Off Mid-Treatment
- Auto-shutoff activated — the MistPro has an auto-shutoff feature that activates when the medication cup is empty or after a set treatment duration.
- Low battery — charge before your next treatment.
- Overheating — allow the device to cool for 5 minutes if used multiple times in quick succession.
Medication Leaking
- Cup overfilled — do not fill above the maximum fill line.
- Cup not properly sealed — ensure the cup is fully clicked into place.
- Using device at angle — for best results, keep the device as upright as possible during treatment.
Unusual Noise During Use
The MistPro operates near-silently. Any unusual noise may indicate:- Debris in the medication cup — rinse and inspect the cup.
- Loose component — check that all parts are fully assembled and secure.
- Foreign object in mesh — inspect and rinse thoroughly.
Cleaning & Maintenance (Prevention)
Regular cleaning prevents most MistPro issues:| When | What to Do |
|---|---|
| After every use | Rinse medication cup and mesh with warm water; air dry |
| Weekly | Soak mesh in citric acid or white vinegar solution for 15 minutes |
| Monthly | Full disassembly and inspection of all components |
| As needed | Replace medication cup if cracked or permanently stained |
Never use bleach, alcohol above 70%, or abrasive cleaning tools on the mesh. These can damage the mesh holes and compromise mist particle size.
