Device Won’t Turn On

  • Check the power connection — ensure the power cord is firmly plugged into both the unit and the wall outlet. Try a different outlet to rule out a dead socket.
  • Check the outlet — plug another device into the same outlet to confirm it has power.
  • Hold the power button — press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds rather than a quick tap.
  • After a power outage — the AirPro does not auto-restart after a power interruption. Press the power button to restart.

Reduced Airflow or Poor Performance

  • Check the filter — a clogged or saturated filter is the most common cause of reduced airflow. If the filter indicator light is on, replace the filter immediately.
  • Remove obstructions — the AirPro uses 360-degree air intake. Ensure nothing is blocking the sides or top of the unit. Keep at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides.
  • Check the pre-filter — the pre-filter can accumulate dust, hair, and pet dander over time. Gently vacuum the pre-filter with a brush attachment to restore airflow.
  • Room size — the AirPro covers 430 sq ft in 10 minutes and 1,200 sq ft in 30 minutes. In rooms significantly larger than 1,200 sq ft, performance will be reduced. Consider adding a second unit.

Unusual Noise or Vibration

  • Check filter seating — remove the filter and reinstall it, ensuring it is properly seated and aligned. A misaligned filter can cause vibration or rattling sounds.
  • Check for foreign objects — inspect inside the unit for any debris, packaging material, or objects that may have fallen in through the air intake.
  • Surface check — place the AirPro on a flat, stable surface. An uneven surface can amplify vibrations.
  • Fan speed — the AirPro operates between 25 and 50 dB. Higher fan speeds produce more audible airflow noise, which is normal. Night Mode (25 dB) is the quietest setting.

Filter Indicator Light Is On

The filter indicator light means the built-in lifetime tracking system has detected that the filter has reached its replacement threshold. This is based on cumulative runtime, not a fixed calendar date. Action required: Replace the filter. Order replacement filters at SonoHealth.com29.99(1pack),29.99 (1-pack), 49.99 (2-pack), or $79.99 (4-pack). The filter subscription delivers replacements every 90 days at 20% off. Do not wash, rinse, or vacuum the HEPA 14 filter. Doing so will damage the filter media and void its 99.995% filtration rating.

UV-C Light Not Visible

This is normal. The UV-C sterilization light operates at 254 nm — a wavelength that is invisible to the human eye. You will not see a visible glow from the UV-C function during normal operation. Check the UV-C indicator on the control panel to confirm the function is active. If the UV-C indicator shows the function is off, toggle it on using the control panel.

Odors Not Reducing

If the AirPro is running but odors (cooking smells, smoke, chemical fumes) persist:
  • Replace the activated carbon filter — the activated carbon stage is responsible for adsorbing gases and odors. Once the carbon is saturated, it can no longer capture new odor molecules. Replace the filter.
  • Check the source — the AirPro removes airborne odors but cannot eliminate the source. If a persistent odor exists (mold, sewage, gas leak), address the source directly.
  • Increase fan speed — higher fan speeds circulate more air through the carbon filter per minute, which may help with strong odors.
  • Room ventilation — for heavy odor events (painting, cooking with strong spices), open a window briefly to dilute the concentration, then close it and let the AirPro clean the remaining air.

Device Runs But Air Doesn’t Feel Clean

  • Allow adequate time — the AirPro cleans 430 sq ft in 10 minutes. Larger rooms require 20–30 minutes for a full air exchange.
  • Close doors and windows — the AirPro is most effective in enclosed spaces. Open windows and doors continuously introduce new unfiltered air.
  • Check filter age — if the filter is approaching 12 months of use, its efficiency may be declining even if the indicator light has not yet triggered. Replace the filter.
  • Multiple pollution sources — homes with pets, smokers, or ongoing renovation may require more frequent filter replacement (closer to every 6 months).
